June 29, 2013 shooting Oct 5, 2015  trial Fred Turner Jr Shot in Car in Florida Mistaken Identity Road Rage After Fred Turner left an adult theater on a Saturday afternoon, Jerome Hayes was kicked out of the the Gold Club, a strip club in Tampa, angry at the man who allegedly beat up his friend. He claims he mistakenly followed Turner's car. As he drove his Mustang, Turner called 9-11 on Interstate 4 about an enraged stranger waving a gun through the open window of a car behind him, "I have no idea who this guy is, and I know I didn't do anything to upset him like cut in front of him, If he shoots his gun, I'm — I'm gone," Turner said. "Now he's going to pull up beside me on the right side. …" Police thought it was a case of road rage until Hayes turned himself in Monday morning at the Hillsborough County Jail, and confesssed to police he thought he was following the man he had argued with in the strip club.  tags: pull-aside shooting
